Nicola, born in the UK, had an extensive career as a choreographer and set designer in Boston. When she escaped to rural Newfoundland, she immersed herself in her visual art practice when not protecting her beloved chickens and ducks from owls, mink, lynx, fox and otters, whom she also loves. During pandemic times she began making short films that intergrated her various creative impulses. These films have been shown across Canada and around the globe.
